Here's a bit more about me:

Nicolette Macleod is a singer-songwriter and theatre performer from Glasgow. Her music is a blend of folk and jazz which reveals hints of her classical training, time at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and her grandfather’s roots on the Isle of Lewis.

She writes original material and arranges British Isles’ folk songs, which she performs with guitar and by looping vocal harmonies live. She was a finalist at the Loop Station Championship in London where she performed an original song that later won her a recording session at The Roundhouse EMI studio.

Nicolette has supported and sung alongside some well known names including The Leisure Society, The Irrepressibles and Karine Polwart. Her vocals have been used on a number of films and in a pop setting for albums receiving prime time radio play on BBC2 and BBC6.

She also has a passion for writing music for theatre and dance. Most recently she wrote and performed the music for ‘Curious Shoes’ a dementia friendly theatre show.

Nicolette strongly believes everyone should have access to music and creative expression if they want. As well as performing and writing she facilitates music, movement and theatre workshops in schools and community settings. She works with young people and adults with additional support needs for both Paragon Music and Loop Theatre Company.

If you want to enquire about a show, project or workshop get in touch. I prefer to discuss work over email or in person at
