Spring Lantern Riddles
I was part of the cast of five for the week as a actor|muso|composer, creating a live score as we put the script on its feet in the room. A weeks research and development working on newly translated text 'Spring Lantern Riddles' adapted by Julie Tsang and directed by Fiona Mackinnon. Which then culminated in the first performance of Spring Lantern Riddles at The Lyceum, a dark, dramatic and romantic tale about mistaken identities dating back to 1633.
This project was Part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Chinese Classics Translation Project.
After the show we had a post show discussion with the creative team which was then followed by the next sharing of 'The Male Queen' directed Pamela Carter.
